The most useful finding here for other applied ML teams isn't the headline accuracy number — it's that stacking a second attention mechanism on top of a first one made results slightly worse, not better. It's a good reminder that architectural additions need to be tested individually and in combination, not assumed to stack additively, especially on a modestly sized, domain-specific dataset like this one (1,000 images) where extra model complexity has less room to pay for itself.
