Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 July 2026
This policy explains what information Agri Research Journalcollects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we reasonably can, and we don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
1. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- When you submit a paper: your name, email address, credential/title, institution, country, a short bio, and the manuscript file itself (PDF).
- When you email us: whatever you send us, including your email address.
- When you join the Premium waitlist: your email address, and optionally your name and phone number if you choose to provide them.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider (Vercel) logs standard technical request data (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) for security and reliability purposes, in line with their own privacy practices. We do not currently run any analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of our own — see our Cookie Policy for the full picture.
2. How we use it
- To review your submission and communicate with you about its status.
- To build and display your public author profile and paper page, if published.
- To operate, secure, and improve the platform.
- To respond to questions or correction requests you send us.
- To email you when Premium features launch, if you joined the waitlist.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the platform, each acting as a data processor on our behalf:
- Supabase — database and file storage for submitted manuscripts and profile data.
- Resend — delivers editorial notification and decision emails.
- Vercel — hosts the website and handles request-level infrastructure logging.
None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We do not share your data with any other third party except where required by law.
4. What becomes public
If your paper is published, your name, credential, institution, country, bio, and the paper itself (including its PDF) become public and indexable by search engines and AI systems — that's the point of the platform. Your email address is never displayed publicly. If your submission is rejected, none of your submitted information is published anywhere. Waitlist signups (name, email, phone) are never public and are used only to notify you about Premium.
5. How long we keep it
Published content is kept indefinitely, since a permanent, citable record is core to what the platform offers. If your submission is rejected or you withdraw it, we retain the underlying data only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the submission, then delete it. You can request deletion at any time — see below.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to remove a published paper or profile, at any time by emailing paper@agri.net.in. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Note that removing a published paper may still leave traces in third-party caches (like search engine indexes or the Wayback Machine) outside our control.
7. Children's privacy
Agri Research Journal is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
8. Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the “last updated” date above.
